Adamant scholars of Alexandria will point out that the translators of the King James Bible included the Apocrypha in the early editions of their translation. This is true, but the honest translators placed the spurious writings of the Apocrypha BETWEEN the Testaments with the reasons why they did not believe the Apocryphal books were inspired. The Septuagint and the corrupt Alexandrian manuscripts have the perverted Apocryphal books dispersed within the Old Testament.
The beloved translators of the Authorized King James Bible gave seven reasons why the Apocrypha books were not inspired. None of the books were written in Hebrew. No writer claimed to be inspired. The Jewish church and the Lord Jesus Christ never acknowledged the Apocryphal books as sacred Scriptures. They were not allowed among the sacred books in the first four centuries of the Christian church because they contained contradictions with themselves and the true Scriptures. In the two books of Maccabees, Antiochus Epiphanes is made to die three different ways in three different places. The Apocryphal books teach false doctrines; such as, prayers for the dead and sinless perfection. The Apocrypha also teaches immoral practices of lying, suicide, assassination, and magical incantations.
An honest and prudent Bible student studies about the dangers of Alexandria, Egypt and the blessings of Antioch of Syria in the final authority for all matters of faith and practice to obtain sound doctrine. Egypt is called the house of bondage ten times in the Scriptures. The first occurrence of the word Alexandria establishes it as a place that contends with a Spirit-filled deacon from Antioch (Acts 6:5, 9 - This is found in all Bibles.). Antioch is the first place the disciples were called Christians (Acts 11:26 - This is found in all Bibles also.). The Scripture bears witness to Antioch as the chosen place of God during the time of the church.
The Alexandrian minds believe the Bible is not perfect and can be improved by their great scholarship, but this is actually a spiritual liness of Egypt (EX. 15:26). Phis terrible spiritual illness is called A.I.D.S. (Alexandrian Idiots Degrading Scripture. The Antiochan mentality believes the Bible is perfect and cannot be improved. God promised to preserve His inspired word (Ps. 12:6-7; Jer. 32:36) and the humble mind of the common man simply believes God. (1 Thess. 2:13). Faith is simply believing what God says (Isa. 66:2; Acts 27:25; Rom. 10:17; 2 Tim. 2:15; Heb. 11:1-6).
The diligent believer gets a perfect copy of the Scriptures in his possession and holds unto it (Ps. 149:6; Phil. 2:16; 2 Tim. 1:13; Titus 1:9). An Alexandrian may hold the same Book. but he has a different motive (Mark 12:13; Luke 11:52-54; Rom. 1:18). A diligent studen with sound mind seeks to study sound words to obtain clear and sound doctrine (Ps. 119:80, Col. 3:16; 2 Tim. 2:15; Titus 2:1-8). A faithful and honest pastor exalts the words of God for the glory of God (Ps. 138:2; Prov. 4:7-9; 2 Thess. 3:1)

When men become rebels against the words of the Lord [Ps 107:11] and contemn the counsel of the most High, they find themselves in ever increasing trouble.  Once the trouble starts it only gets worse with time.  Rebels against the words of God become:
Disoriented – Ps 107:10 – because they are in darkness and in the shadow of death [Jn 3:19; Prov 4:19].  They can’t see where they are going or how to get out of the mess they are in.  When you try to help them, they don’t get it because you are in the light and they are in the dark.  And at this point they still like being in the dark.  They love darkness.  Then they go from here to being:
Distressed – Ps 107:10 – because they get bound in affliction and iron.  Sin and the world will put you in a bind [Prov 5:22; Ex 1:13-14, Egypt is a type of the world].  So will the devil when he takes you captive [2 Tim 2:25-26].  Some men pride themselves on their distresses.  They think handling a heavy load makes them seem tougher.  Then they go from here to being:
Discouraged – Ps 107:12 – because their hearts are brought down with labor.  When you are discouraged you lose your desire to fight [Deut 20:8].  They get to the place where everything starts going wrong.  Then they go from here to being:
Defeated – Ps 107:12 – because they fall down and they stay down.  We all know what it is to fall down.  A just man falleth seven times… BUT… he riseth up again [Prov 24:16].  When a rebel falls under the weight of his sin and its consequences, he just can’t take it anymore.  Then they go from here to being:
Deserted – Ps 107:12 – because there is none to help.  This is how far down some men have to get before they will cry out to God.  And if you keep stepping in to help them, then they will never get the help they need.  The prodigal son got down this far but he returned to his father because he knew that he wouldn’t abandon him.  Neither will the Lord abandon you.
Conclusion: if, when people become rebels and get this beat up with sin, they will cry out to the Lord, God will save them out of their distresses.  Then they will have plenty for which to praise the Lord [Ps 107:13-15].  If this is where you are then all you need to do is cry out to the Lord for help and salvation.

Before his incarnation, Jesus was the Word. He becomes the Son of God after his incarnation, once he is born (Jn. 1:1/14). That doesn't mean he begins when he is born. He is the eternal Word of God, who was in the beginning with God (Jn. I:. He is co-eternal with God, and he is the Creator of all things. But about 2,000 years ago, the eternal Word was made flesh (Jn. 1:14), being physically begotten by the Holy Ghost, which is why he is called the only begotten Son of God. This is not personal interpretation, this is the declaration of the angel Gabriel: And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God (Luk 1:35). The incarnation sonship of Christ is true by definition. God said: Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee (Ps.2:7), this day is a point in time. Origen was wrong who claimed that the Son is "eternally generated" [Origen, "On Christ", De Principiis]. There is no temporal point or day in eternity past. the Word of God, Jesus, is outside time, being its Creator. But he physically entered into time when he was born, and took on him the seed of Abraham (He.2:16). Servetus, despite being a heretic on the trinity, nevertheless understood the fact that the Word of God only became the Son of God upon his birth. John Calvin, who "believed that it was just and right for heretics to be put to death" [http://salvationbygrace.org/current-qa/john-calvin-a-murderer/], moved the civil authorities of Geneva to prosecute Servetus [Whitcomb, Merrick. "The Complaint of Nicholas de la Fontaine Against Servetus, 14 August, 1553", Translations and Reprints from the Original Sources of European History, vol. 3, (Philadelphia: University of Pennsylvania History Department, 1898-1912)]. During the trial, "it was Calvin's job as expert witness to prove that Servetus was a heretic". http://salvationbygrace.org/current-qa/john-calvin-a-murderer/]

“In my work on The Alexandrian Cult Series, I have quotes from popular and well-known Bible teachers who will tell you that the way to find out what God says is to find out what the “originals” say. That sure leaves some of you who can’t read Hebrew or Greek in a fix, doesn’t it? But don’t worry; if you can’t read Hebrew or Greek, just read the American Standard Version, and you will get as close to what God said as you can get. I would hate to think that the closest I can get to what God said is a version that gets rid of Christ’s Deity from 1 Timothy 3:16 and the Trinity from 1 John 5:7 and the Lord’s virgin birth from Luke 2:33 and the blood atonement from Colossians 1:14 and the infallible proofs of His resurrection from Acts 1:3 . . . , but why go on? The American Standard Version gets rid of 36,000 of God’s words; the New International Version gets rid of 64,000 of them. If that is as close as I can get, “I pray thee have me excused” (cf. Luke 14:18–19).”

By historian AJP Taylor in English History, 1914-1945

UNTIL August 1914 a sensible, law-abiding Englishman could pass through life and hardly notice the existence of the state, beyond the post office and the policeman. He could live where he liked and as he liked. He had no official number or identity card. He could travel abroad or leave his country for ever without a passport or any sort of official permission. He could exchange his money for any other currency without restriction or limit. He could buy goods from any country in the world on the same terms as he bought goods at home. For that matter, a foreigner could spend his life in this country without permit and without informing the police. Unlike the countries of the European continent, the state did not require its citizens to perform military service. An Englishman could enlist, if he chose, in the regular army, the navy, or the territorials. He could also ignore, if he chose, the demands of national defence. Substantial householders were occasionally called on for jury service. Otherwise, only those helped the state who wished to do so. The Englishman paid taxes on a modest scale: nearly £200 million in 1913-14, or rather less than 8 per cent of the national income. The state intervened to prevent the citizens from eating adulterated foods or contracting certain infectious diseases. It imposed safety rules in factories and prevented women, and adult males in some industries, from working excessive hours. The state saw to it that children received education up to the age of 13. Since 1 January 1909, it provided a meagre pension for the needy over the age of 70. Since 1913, it helped to insure certain classes of workers against sickness and unemployment. …All this was changed by the impact of the Great War. The mass of the people became, for the first time, active citizens. Their lives were shaped by orders from above; they were required to serve the state instead of pursuing exclusively their own affairs. Five million men entered the armed forces, many of them (though a minority) under compulsion. The Englishman’s food was limited, and its quality changed, by government order. His freedom of movement was restricted; his conditions of work prescribed. Some industries were reduced or closed, others artificially fostered. The publication of news was fettered. Street lights were dimmed. The sacred freedom of drinking was tampered with: licensed hours were cut down, and the beer watered by order. The very time on the clocks was changed. From 1916 onwards, every Englishman got up an hour earlier in summer than he would otherwise have done, thanks to an act of parliament. The state established a hold over its citizens which, though relaxed in peacetime, was never to be removed and which the second World war was again to increase. The history of the English state and of the English people merged for the first time.

Friend something better than chocolate ice cream…maybe friend somebody you give up last cookie for.

To that nugget of wisdom I say.. Thanks for everything you gave up for me, Lord! (Prov 18.24b, John 3.16 & 15.13!
